Installation instructions:
1. Confirm that the tailgate or motorhome roof hatch has standard mounting holes.
2. Insert the T-shaped lock’s rod through the panel hole to ensure the lock body fits snugly against the panel.
3. Secure the lock body firmly to the panel using the provided screws; tighten thoroughly to prevent loosening.
4. Verify the lock rod is approximately 4 inches (102 mm) in length and 8 mm in diameter, then insert it and align it properly with the latch position.
5. Insert the key and rotate the T-shaped handle about 90 degrees. Check that the lock rod extends and retracts smoothly, ensuring smooth operation.
6. Remove the key, confirm the lock body is securely fixed, and repeat the opening and closing test to verify proper functionality
